We attended the same school, youth group, and even spent a few years at church camp together. Despite our crushes on each other’s friends, we never really liked one another. However, God began knitting our paths together our junior year of college.
December 4th, 2022, at Restoration Church Bryan. I was leading worship for the first time when I saw Luke sitting in the front row. After church, he messaged me on Instagram to ask for my number. After four dates and many FaceTime calls, Luke asked me to be his girlfriend on December 26th to "Lavender Haze" by Taylor Swift.
With Christ at the center of our relationship, we fell madly in love with one another. During our season of dating, we spent our time together walking the neighborhood, many dinners at Chuy's, discovering the best burger spots in town, and lots of movie nights.
One year later Luke asked for my hand in marriage and 6 months later we got married! It constantly blows our mind that for 12 years we walked the same hallways wondering who we were going to marry and all along it was each other. In high school, we had barley spoken much less thought about pursuing one another, but we wouldn't change a thing.
